My name is Valery Wachter...

  I have a BFA degree (1983) from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. I am a founding member of the Bryan Health Art Committee.  I have served on the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts Alumni Board,  the MEDICI board and the Mayor's Arts Awards Selection Committee. I am an associate member of the Burkholder Project. My sculpture, "Nebraska Wildfowers" is located on the Bryan East Campus.  I have been involved with the Bryan East Art Gallery since it's beginning in 2014.  The Bryan Art Committee purchased art for the April Sampson Cancer Center. I was awarded the Alumni in Art for 2026 by the Hixson-Lied College of Fine And Performing Art Alumni Board. I work from my studio in my home and continue to paint and be involved in many art projects.
